SCULPTURES THAT HAVE THEIR OWN CHARACTER !
It takes time, passion & patience to create a WAW collection!
The line is narrative & unusual ; the surprise is hidden in the detail. Each piece, whether object or furniture, is named after a character trait or an expression, determined by its form & function. The object thus personified, finds its place in the heart of our nostalgia and cheerfully within our daily life.
The founder and designer Caroline Schilling, wishes to promote the know-how of the best French and European manufacturers. A top-of-the-range and playful imagination, focused on products with precise & precious finishes. Ultimately, she wants to publish and highlight her favorites of French design.
CAROLINE SCILLING "STORYTELLING DESIGNER"
Designer & founder, graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, ( ENSAD ) she unfolds the thread of her stories in volume. Hands in matter, head in creation, but feet on the ground !
After having given form and space for ten years the universe of its customers: their brand, their place, their events, it takes the feather for a new chapter and imagine its collection narrative. She began the development of the first pieces and then founded the brand ; from design to the manufacture no detail is left to chance. For a story to be coherent, it is essential to master the whole plot.
Her high standards push her to collaborate with accomplices, manufacturers of excellence, who share his taste for challenge and revalorization of the intelligence of the hand. Its spearhead, combining emotion to elegance, with a touch of insolence.
WAW ! [ What an Amazing World ! ]
There is a country, close to that of wonders, where objects come to life and grow unparalleled. WAW ! is a region not far from here, where excess reigns supreme.
Erected on the emerged lands of dreamlike design; a form of game, a game of shapes, the fertile ground of puns, which titillate our playful zygomatics.
Giants with golden hands shape these everyday companions, straight out of the wacky imagination of an artist who sees big and thinks very big.
WAW ! imaginary factory. An A rather than an O to express surprise punctuated by an exclamation point. A bilingual acronym, like its creator.
